Ordinary chicken breast gets hit with Latin American flare through this spicy green sauce.

cup olive oil

cloves garlic, minced

jalapeno pepper, seeded, and, minced

tsp ground cumin
¼
tsp salt
¼
tsp pepper

Tbsp lime, juice
1
Tbsp sherry
1
Tbsp wine vinegar

boneless skinless chicken, breasts

Step 1
In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat for 3 minutes or just until hot and oil begins to move on its own.
Step 2
Meanwhile, in bowl, stir together minced garlic, jalapeño pepper, ground cumin, salt and pepper.

Pour in hot oil.
Step 4
Whisk in lime juice and sherry.
Step 5
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add chicken breasts, turning chicken to coat.
Step 7
Let stand for 5 minutes. (Make ahead: cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)
Step 8
Reserving marinade, place chicken on greased grill over medium-high heat; brush with reserved marinade.
Step 9
Close lid and cook, turning once, for 10 to 12 minutes or until no longer pink inside.
