This recipe produces simple sugar cookies with a delectable maple syrup glaze.

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Mix together the softened butter and brown sugar until well combined. Mix in the eggs one at a time until combined. Mix in the vanilla.
In a separate bowl mix together the baking soda, salt, flour and cinnamon. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until well combined.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop 1 tablespoon balls of cookie dough onto the sheet about 2 cm apart. Bake for 12 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown at the edges.
While cookies are cooling make the glaze. Mix together the maple syrup and icing sugar. Drizzle maple glaze over the cooled cookies.
