Try this delicious fruit crisp filled with apples, dates and cranberries!

Filling

Matsu apple, peeled, cored, and, cut, into one inch cubes
¼
cup fresh dates, chopped
½
cup fresh cranberries
½
cup frozen cranberries
⅓
cup sugar

Tbsp corn starch
1
lemon, grated, zest of
butter, for baking dish
Topping
½
cup quick-cooking rolled oats
¼
cup flour
⅓
cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
⅓
cup brown sugar
½
tsp ground cinnamon
1
pinch ground cloves
¼
cup pistachio nuts, chopped

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
In a large bowl combine all filling ingredients and toss to blend.
Step 3
In a food processor combine the oats, flour and cold butter.
Step 4
Pulse several times until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Step 5
Transfer to a medium bowl and add remaining topping ingredients.
Step 6
Stir until well blended.
Step 7
Pour apple filling into a well buttered 9½ by 8-inch baking dish.
Step 8
Mound topping over filling, covering it completely.
Step 9
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until bubbly and golden.
