Onion and Black Diamond Tart

This onion and Black Diamond Italiano Shredded Cheddar Cheese tart is perfect for brunch, lunch or dinner.

ingredients

frozen pie shells
3
cup (750 mL) onions, thinly sliced

cup (500 mL) 15% cooking cream
4
eggs
2
cup (500 mL) Black Diamond Italiano Shredded Cheddar Cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

In a large skillet, slowly melt a little butter and onions over medium-low heat. Add salt and pepper to mix once it has reduced by half. Mix thoroughly and let cool.

Step 2

Pour onion mix in each pie shell.

Step 3

Beat eggs and cream, pour on top of onion mix and scatter Black Diamond Italiano shredded cheddar.

Step 4

Bake in 400°F (200°C) preheated oven about 30 minutes.
