Oyster Stew

A treat for seafood lovers. Serve with fresh crusty bread, rolls or oyster crackers.

Ingredients

cup margarine
cup chopped Onion
½
cup green chopped pepper

Tbsp all purpose flour

tsp salt

tsp pepper
1 ¼
oyster, in liquid

cup Natrel Lactose Free Milk
1
tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 ½
Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

SAUTE onion and green pepper in margarine in large saucepan until tender, about 5 minutes. Add flour, salt and pepper, stirring until smooth. Add oysters with liquid. Simmer just until edges of oysters start to curl, about 5 minutes. Gradually add Natrel Lactose Free Milk and Worcestershire sauce, stirring until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat just until mixture comes to a boil and is thickened. Stir in parsley.

Tip:
· Oysters are readily available in many Oriental grocery stores. Substitute 4 (5 oz/113g) cans of oysters, if desired.
