Enjoy the best of peach season with this basil-and ginger-infused punch! This recipe can be made with or without the addition of rum. A refreshing and healthy(ish) drink to cool down with all summer long.
bunch fresh basil, plus more to garnish
tablespoons honey, or to taste
peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
lemon, thinly sliced
cup peach nectar
cups ginger kombucha
cup rum (optional)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, stir together the basil, honey and water.
Bring to a gentle simmer and remove from heat.
Let stand for 15 minutes before straining.
Fill a large pitcher or serving bowl with ice.
Add the basil syrup, peaches, peach nectar, lemon, ginger kombucha, honey and rum (if using).
Serve immediately. If making in advance add everything but the kombucha until ready to serve.
