Roasted Sweet and Salty Chickpeas

Sugar and spice make this vegan treat delicious either hot out of the oven, or to snack on the next day!

1 can chickpeas, drained, rinsed and patted very dry
1 Tbsp canola oil
2 Tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
2 tsp chili powder
¼ tsp kosher salt
1. Preheat the oven to 300ºF. In a bowl combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder and salt. Add chickpeas to the mixture and stir to combine.
2. Add to a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until the chickpeas sound hollow when the baking sheet is shaken.
