Tbsp all purpose flour
margarine
salt and pepper

cup Natrel Lactose Free Milk
½
cup lactose free swiss cheese, optional

Step 1
Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Layer one-third of potatoes in buttered 8-cup (2 L) casserole. Sprinkle one-third of onion and 1 tbsp (15 mL) flour on top. Dot with 1 tbsp (15 mL) margarine. Repeat layering twice. Pour hot milk on top. Cover and bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 45 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese if desired. Bake 30 to 40 minutes longer, or until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned.

Tip:
Yukon Gold are an excellent potato to use.
Use freshly ground pepper for the best flavour.
