You’ve probably tried crispy rice cereal treats, and all the variations, but Kardea Brown has your new favourite cereal bar with this s’mores cereal treat recipe. Golden Grahams breakfast cereal meets Lucky Charm marshmallows and chocolate in these portable, poppable treats that you’ll be craving again and again.
Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Add the large marshmallows and cook, stirring occasionally, until completely melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
Pour 8 cups of the cereal in a large bowl. Cut the chocolate bar into the smaller rectangles along the bar. Set aside one bar’s worth of chocolate rectangles.
Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the cereal. Add the chocolate rectangles from 2 of the bars, stirring to combine.
Working quickly, press the cereal mixture into the prepared pan. Garnish the top with the remaining ½ cup cereal, chocolate rectangles from the reserved bar and dehydrated shaped marshmallows. Let cool to room temperature before cutting into squares.
