tsp olive or canola oil (10 mL)
tsp prepared garlic in a jar (10 mL)
onion, chopped or pureed finely
cup frozen mixed vegetables (125 mL)
g canned tomato sauce (24 oz)
tsp Mrs. Dash Italian Seasoning (or fresh basil or oregano) (10 mL)
tsp salt (2.5 mL)
tsp pepper (1 mL)
g fresh baby carrots (16 oz)
L water (30 cups)
g spaghetti pasta (10 oz)
Heat oil in stovetop pot.
Add onion then garlic.
Puree mixed vegetables and add to pot.
Add canned tomato sauce to pot. Add seasonings.
Wash carrots and set out with dip.
Fill a pot with water and bring to boil.
Place pasta in boiling water and stir. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
Rinse pasta in a colander with hot water; Return to pot, and toss with a little olive oil and basil.
