Tbsp fancy molasses

Tbsp golden corn syrup

cup whole wheat flour

cup 2% milk, warmed

cup apple sauce

Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Step 2
Melt butter, molasses, corn syrup and sugar until fluid and remove from heat. Stir together flours, baking powder, spices and salt and blend into butter mixture. Stir in eggs. In a separate cup, stir milk, apple sauce, baking soda and ground almonds and add to batter. Stir in walnuts.
Step 3
Scrape batter into prepared pan and bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until a tester inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow loaf to cool for 15 minutes, then turn out to cool completely.
