onion, chopped

lb(s) chorizo, cut into rounds

plum tomatoes, crushed

sprig fresh thyme

lb(s) steamer clams or small clams, shells scrubbed

bottle of beer

Step 1
In a Dutch oven over medium heat, soften the garlic in the oil. Add the onion and chorizo and brown. Add the tomato and thyme. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add the beer and the clams in the same Dutch oven. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer until the clams have opened, about 5 minutes Discard any unopened clams.
