ingredients

salmon filets, boneless, skinless (6 oz / 175 g Each)
Paper towel

tsp Mrs.Dash Original Seasoning
Fresh pepper to taste

cup chicken broth, low-sodium
2
cup couscous, whole wheat
Water
2
broccoli florets (1 lb / 450 g)

Step 1

Take out equipment and ingredients the night before.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 350º F.

Step 3

Spray a nonstick fry pan with cooking spray.

Step 4

Wash salmon under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 5

Season one side of salmon with spice.

Step 6

Sauté, spice side down, over med-high heat approx 1 minute or until salmon is seared.

Step 7

Season, turn and sauté other side.

Step 8

While salmon is searing: Drizzle each filet with teriyaki sauce.

Step 9

Bring broth to a boil in a small stove top pot with lid.

Step 10

Add couscous to boiling broth, reduce heat and lift couscous with a fork in several places.

Step 11

Return lid, simmer for 1 minute and remove from heat.

Step 12

Let stand with lid on until you are ready to serve.

Step 13

Wash and cut broccoli adding to steamer insert.

Step 14

Cover and steam for 3 minutes repositioning broccoli once to allow steam to reach all the pieces.

Step 15

Add butter if you must.
