cup milk (250 ml)

vanilla bean, scraped
Challah bread, cut into 8 thick slices

Tbsp unsalted butter (45 ml)
yogurt or whipped cream for serving
Blueberry Maple Syrup

cup blueberries (250 ml)

cup pure maple syrup (250 ml)

tsp orange zest (5 ml)

Step 1
Whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla pulp.
Step 2
Place a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat and melt butter. When it begins to foam, dip the challah slices in egg and milk mixture, one at a time and begin to fry them. When golden, flip and fry the other side. Continue for all of the challah.
Step 3
Serve with blueberry maple syrup and a spoonful of yogurt or whipped cream.
Step 4
Combine ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Continue to simmer until thickened.
