Creamy, comforting and delicious. Hot chocolate is one of my favourite ways to cozy up on a cold winter day and believe it or not, you don’t need a store bought mix to make it quick and easy. This decadent recipe has only five ingredients; coconut cream, your favourite chocolate, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and salt. Throw it all together in a single pot and in under 10 minutes, you’ll have a delicious vegan hot chocolate. It truly doesn’t get easier than this.
In a small saucepan over medium heat add coconut cream, chopped chocolate, and cocoa powder. Whisk until the chocolate is melted and you have a super creamy mixture.
Add maple syrup, more or less depending on how sweet you want it, and whisk to combine
Pour hot chocolate into two mugs.
Sprinkle it with a little salt and serve with your favourite toppings. I love using vegan marshmallows.
