Ingredients

cup chopped mint and cilantro

tsp ginger-garlic paste

halves green chillies, slit

tsp briyani masala powder

cinnanon stick

tsp cumin seeds

bay leaf

stick cardamom

Tbsp salt, to taste

cups water

cup sliced onions

clove clove

cup mixed vegetables (French beans, beetroot, carrot, potato, corn)

cup basmati rice

Directions

Step 1

Heat the oil and ghee in a pressure cooker on the stove and add the cumin seeds, clove, cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaf; saute on a medium flame for 30 seconds.

Step 2

Add the onions, ginger-garlic paste and slit green chillies and saute on a medium flame for 1 minute.

Step 3

Add the vegetables (French beans, beetroot, carrot, potato, corn), biryani masala, rice and salt and saute on a medium flame for 1 minute.

Step 4

Add 2 cups of water give it a quick mix and cook on a medium flame for 2 whistles.

Step 5

Serve hot with raita.
