Drain the fresh artichokes and pat dry with paper towels. Place the artichokes, whole garlic cloves, lemon slices and olive oil into a large oven-proof baking dish, toss everything until well coated in oil. Season with coarse salt and pepper Place the baking dish into a pre-heated wood-fired oven (400-degrees) uncovered for approx. 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat when the artichokes are tender.
Remove the artichokes and whole garlic cloves from the pan and place onto a large serving platter. Garnish with the roasted red peppers and fresh herbs. Serve with lemon aioli and 4 large pieces of focaccia bread. Drizzle the baked bread and roasted artichokes with the some oil that the artichokes were baked in- serve while the artichokes are warm.
