large lemon (juice and zest peel)

cup freshly grated Parmesan

cup salted butter (½ stick)

box pasta of your choice (rotini is great)

Notes
If a sweeter side-dish (ideal for poultry) is required, you can substitute 2 limes instead of 1 lemon.
Step 1
Zest the skin from one large lemon into a small bowl.
Step 2
Juice the lemon into the bowl with the zest.
Step 3
Cook the pasta as per directions on box.
Step 4
Add chopped half-stick of butter to cooked pasta in a large serving bowl, allow to melt.
Step 5
Sprinkle on 1 cup of Parmesan cheese.
Step 6
Add zest and lemon juice.
Step 7
Stir pasta until coated in butter, cheese and lemon.
Step 8
Garnish with fresh basil (optional) serve and enjoy!
