Directions for: Lynn Crawford’s Spice Blend


1 Tbsp coriander seeds

1 Tbsp fennel seeds

2 tsp pink peppercorns

½ tsp cumin seeds

½ tsp brown mustard seeds

1 whole clove

2 Tbsp salt

½ Tbsp black pepper

1 tsp ground allspice

½ tsp freshly ground nutmeg


1. In a sauté pan over medium heat, toast the coriander seeds, fennel seeds, peppercorns, cumin seeds, brown mustard seeds and clove for a few minutes, until fragrant. Grind the spices together and place in a small bowl. Stir in the salt, pepper, nutmeg and allspice.
