1 cup rolled oats (not instant)

⅓ cup sliced almonds

¼ cup untoasted wheat germ

¼ cup spelt or barley flakes (found at health or bulk stores)

2 tablespoons unsalted pumpkin seeds

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

⅓ cup raisins

2 cups yogurt

2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

1 small apple, peeled and coarsely grated

1 small banana, diced

1 cup diced strawberries


1. Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a baking tray with parchment paper. Measure oats, almonds, wheat germ and barley flakes onto prepared tray and stir to mix. Toast for 12 minutes, stirring once and cool.

2. Pour cooled mixture into a medium bowl and stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
