Join Noah Cappe at the CNE Carnival Eats Food Trailer

Toronto’s favourite end-of-summer tradition returns to deliver its signature blend of new and nostalgic! The CNE is in full swing with its CNE Kitchen Stage, SuperDogs’ new show- Barkade, midway rides and games, wacky tasty treats (including Cheeseburger Ice Cream and the surprisingly delicious Dill Pickle Cotton Candy), shopping, and musical performances. This year you can get a taste of a Food Network Canada favourite show with the Carnival Eats food trailer! You can taste dishes like the butter tart or cotton candy funnel cake and the super Canadian deep-fried maple cookies, covered in maple syrup and bacon bits! They also have a secret off-menu item called the mystery stick. We can’t tell you exactly what it is… but we can say it is a sweet treat you won’t want to miss.

On Wednesday, August 30, Carnival Eats host Noah Cappe will be on-site at the CNE Carnival Eats trailer to eat some treats and meet some fans! We chatted with Noah who gave all all the info you need to know about the Carnival Eats trailer and his appearance at the trailer.

What can fans of Carnival Eats expect from this CNE food trailer?

Classic carnival comfort creations with the over-the-top extra touches we’ve learned from 10 years of “research” on the road. They’ve even got menu items from our upcoming 10th season on the menu!

Why was it important to bring this experience to the CNE?

This is HOME! I’m born and raised in Toronto, and [it’s home] not just for me, but for almost the entire crew and production company. Who better to share it with!?

What is your favourite thing on the menu at this trailer?

Like when you have more than one kid, there are things about each of them that you love, and it’s hard to pick a favourite. However… you also secretly do have a favourite and mine is the deep-fried maple cookies!

What is your favourite fair food to get at the CNE?

I’m like everyone! Hitting the gotta-try lists and looking for those social media [worthy] dishes. There’s always gonna be a simple classic sprinkled in there as well along the way like a hot dog or a [pizza] slice!

What is the whackiest fair food you’ve ever tried?

I actually have a show that talks all about that, it’s called Carnival Eats, and I travel all across North America eating and sharing the craziest fair food we find! But if I had to choose… the s’mores burger from the upcoming season really stands out! It is a beef burger topped with torched marshmallow chocolate. It was wild, but it worked!

Will you be stopping by the Carnival Eats trailer and the CNE at all?

Wednesday, August 30 I will be hanging out and having fun at the booth! I’m only home for a few days while I film a brand new Food Network show with Guy Fieri, but how could I miss the CNE? Come out and say hi!

The Carnival Eats trailer is located at the northwest corner of the Enercare centre, near the midway entrance. Tickets for the CNE are available on The Ex website. If you can’t make it to see Noah, be sure to stop by the trailer during the final weekend of the CNE.
