What is the new Starbucks holiday 2023 drink?

Along with the new Iced Gingerbread Oat Chai which was released earlier this holiday season, Starbucks has just released the Iced Merry Mint White Mocha. According to Starbucks, this drink features “Starbucks signature espresso with white chocolate sauce, milk and ice, and is topped with peppermint chocolate cream cold foam and chocolate curls.” The Peppermint Mocha is the most loved holiday drink among Starbucks fans, so it’s no surprise that they put a new twist on an old favourite.

What does the Starbucks Iced Merry Mint White Mocha taste like?

If you like peppermint mochas you will love this drink. We find that mochas can sometimes be overwhelming with the richness of the chocolate flavour, but this one was a little more subtle thanks to the white chocolate. The chocolate curls on top added a nice crunch while sipping and the peppermint chocolate cream cold foam made it feel smooth and creamy. The combination of peppermint and chocolate can be controversial, but as fans of the combination we did really enjoy this drink. However, we do wish there was a little more of a peppermint hit. Although the white chocolate is a bit more muted, it was the main star of the drink and we need that extra hint of peppermint for the total holiday flair! That said, this is still a drink we will get again before the holiday season ends.
