In 2022, for the first time in Canada’s culinary history — the inspectors of the illustrious Michelin Guide graced Toronto kitchens. After much anticipation, an elite group of restaurants were selected to receive Michelin Guide recognition with either a star or bib gourmand. Local favourites like Alo and Quetzal received top accolades for their achievements in the culinary world. Nearly a year later, the Michelin Guide has returned to Toronto with a taste for fresh talent and hunger for bold new flavours.

When will Toronto’s next Michelin restaurants be announced?

The Michelin Guide announcement ceremony will take place on September 27 at History, in Toronto. As in previous years, restaurateurs across the city will gather together to find out whom will receive a Michelin star and Bib Gourmand. Ahead of the ceremony, the Michelin Guide has revealed 12 new restaurants on their website. These restaurants highlight the rising stars in Toronto’s food scene — and are a strong indicator of whom will receive a Michelin star.
