Season 3 - February 7, 2021
Kardea Brown is keeping her favourite holiday, Thanksgiving, intimate with a special meal for Ma and Grandma. Grandma always brings the turkey, so Kardea is taking on the sides. She hopes Grandma approves of her Candied Yams, and no Lowcountry Thanksgiving is complete without Oyster Stuffing. Kardea adds Sauteed Turnip Greens and Cranberry Custard Pie for a holiday menu to be thankful for!
Comfort Cooking with Ma
Season 3 - January 31, 2021
Ma's coming by for dinner, so Kardea Brown is cooking up some of her favourite comfort food classics, including Carolina Smothered Chicken with Creamy Mustard Sauce, Wild Rice with Mushrooms and a Roasted Broccoli Salad. Last but certainly not least, she puts a comfy twist on a Southern classic with her Sweet Potato Cheesecake.

Social media maven Kardea Brown is taking food pictures worth a thousand bites! To start off, she makes a Steakhouse Burger with frizzled onion, thick-cut bacon and blue cheese dressing, and she serves it with Crispy Home Fries topped with a pimiento aioli. Then she arranges Roasted Fennel with Apple Cider Reduction and saves the best for last, Bananas Foster Upside-Down Cake.

Kardea Brown invites her sweetest friends over for a dessert party! The star of the dessert table is a beautiful Dressed-Up Carrot Cake made extra special with apples, raisins, pineapple and a caramel drizzle. Kardea adds her Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate-Topped Pralines and Homemade Buttery Fingers to make it the sweetest party of all time.
Big Apple Down South
Season 3 - January 10, 2021
Start spreadin' the news! Kardea Brown's friend from New York City is visiting, so Kardea's whipping up a meal that combines Big Apple favourites and the best of the South. She starts by making Seafood Pizza with Local Shrimp, plus a Salami and Tomato Salad with Buffalo Mozzarella. She mixes up a refreshing Charleston Tea, which is bourbon iced tea with mint and sparkling lemonade. For dessert, it's Kardea's spin on a New York classic, Big Apple Crumb Cheesecake.

Kardea Brown is cooking up the perfect Lowcountry meal for her new Southern table: Fried Chicken with hot honey sauce, Hoppin' John and Sauteed Green Beans with Garlic and Pepper. For dessert, she puts a Southern twist on a sweet Apple Raspberry Cobbler with a Biscuit Top.

Kardea Brown invites friends over for an afternoon Lowcountry cookout and fires up the grill. On the menu are Grilled Mahi Sandwiches, Grilled Shrimp Macaroni Salad and Grilled Potatoes tossed with EVOO and Chives. For something sweet, Kardea whips up a Berry Dump Cake.

Kardea Brown and her nieces are out on the farm to pick blueberries and prepare a fresh brunch the kids and their parents will love. Kardea whips up fluffy Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes topped with a blueberry-honey sauce. She also serves up Cheesy Baked Eggs with Potatoes and Mustard Greens, Homemade Breakfast Sausage and refreshing Honey Orangeade.

Kardea Brown invites a friend over to sit by the creek, share a great meal and watch the world go by. Her menu includes a Seafood Salad Roll with Charleston Shrimp and Blue Crab, Homemade Seasoned Chips and a Fresh Melon Salad topped with fresh mint and spicy dressing. For dessert, Kardea makes Creekside Custard Cups with crushed graham crackers and orange Curacao custard.
Grilling Out with the Girls

Kardea Brown has planned the perfect menu to celebrate the end of summer with her girlfriends. She's grilling up Jerk Chicken and Pineapple Skewers with Sweet and Savoury Grilled Corn, and she serves Sweet Heat Baked Beans on the side. To help everyone cool off, she freezes Spiked Mojito Pops.
A Sea Island Christmas

Kardea Brown is celebrating the holiday season with her closest family and a traditional Sea Island menu. The stars of the table are Maple-Glazed Cornish Hens, and for sides, she makes the Lowcountry staple Limpin' Susan with Shrimp and her Grandma's Green Beans with Potatoes and Smoked Turkey. For dessert, Kardea turns to a Gullah classic, Sweet Potato Pone.
Dishes That Keep Giving

Kardea Brown makes the most of a free day by preparing dishes that make perfect leftovers. First up is Chicken Pot Pie, which is good at first bite and even better the next day. She also makes plenty of Cheesy Country Ham Grit Balls with Spicy Mayo and some Pan-Roasted Sage and Butternut Squash. Finally, Kardea bakes a Pumpkin Chai Loaf that she'll enjoy today, tomorrow and days after!

On her birthday, Kardea Brown wants nothing more than to cook a decadent meal for two of her favourite ladies, Momma Pat and Aunt TC. The celebratory dinner starts with Carolina She-Crab Soup followed by delectable Red Wine-Braised Beef Short Ribs sitting atop Creamy Sweet Potato Polenta. And for a truly Southern birthday, Kardea bakes a traditional Hummingbird Cake and enjoys a spiced banana and pineapple piece of heaven.
Season 2 - October 31, 2020Kardea invites her mom, grandma and cousin to take a day trip to Wadmalaw Island, where she spent much of her childhood. For their picnic, she creates a menu of Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Wadmalaw BBQ Sauce, Pan-Fried Collard Greens with Bacon and a Boozy Sea Island Punch. For dessert, it's Nana's Banana Pudding!
Traveling Supper Club
Season 2 - October 24, 2020Kardea hosts an intimate traveling supper club in her hometown of Charleston, S.C. She creates a Southern-inspired menu of Low Country Spatchcocked Chicken served with traditional Gullah Red Rice and a Warm Asparagus Salad. For a sweet end to a beautiful dinner, there's Grandma's Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding.
Season 2 - October 17, 2020A few of Kardea's brothers and sisters are getting together at her place to catch up and share a meal. She's making a Slow-Roasted Onion Dip as an appetizer along with Grilled Garlic Bread. For the main course, there's a Southern Veggie Lasagna and a Kale Caesar Salad. What a delicious way to get the siblings together!
Season 2 - October 3, 2020Back in her school days, Kardea would spend her weekends planning a trip to Mexico with her besties. In honor of that trip that never happened, Kardea creates a Mexican-themed meal with a big dash of low country. The menu includes Catfish Tacos with Red Cabbage Slaw along with Mexican Street Corn Salad, Pina Colada Pie and Lemonade Margaritas.
Season 2 - September 26, 2020Kardea hosts a birthday dinner for her good friend Ashley. The celebratory meal starts with Pepper Jelly Meatballs to nibble on and Low Country Crab Cakes topped with Southern Succotash as the main attraction. To finish off, there's Ashley's favourite Toasted Coconut Cake.
Season 2 - September 19, 2020There's a chill in the air, and Kardea gathers friends around the fire pit for a cozy meal. Dinner includes some of her favorite rib-sticking staples -- Beef and Okra Stew served with Sweet Potatoes topped with Roasted Marshmallows. For dessert, it's the perfect time of year for Caramel Apple Cake and Warm Spiced Apple Cider.

Season 2 - September 12, 2020Kardea invites her Aunt TC over for a big low-country brunch. The perfectly Southern meal includes Charleston-Style Shrimp and Grits, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits topped with Fresh Apricot Jam, along with a Creamy Hazelnut Frappe.
Double Date Dinner
Season 2 - April 11, 2020Love is in the air when Kardea and her boyfriend Nassir have a double date dinner with their friends, Yolanda and Eugene. Kardea kicks off the night with a savory Peppered Skirt Steak Salad with Crumbled Blue. Then it's time to get sweet with Chocolate-Covered Bacon and Chocolate Cheesecake with a Chocolate Cookie Crust topped with Homemade Chocolate Pretzel Bark.

Season 2 - April 4, 2020Kardea is having her football-loving family over to watch the big game, and they all love to eat! Kardea is going deep into her delicious playbook to make Fried Chicken Wings with a variety of dipping sauces, Southern Deviled Eggs and Chips 'n' Crab Dip. For those with a sweet tooth, she makes Red Velvet Cupcakes with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting.

Season 2 - March 28, 2020It's Aunt Kardea's day to hang out with some of her nieces and nephew, and she makes their favorite things along with a couple of sweet treats. She serves up Stovetop Mac 'n' Cheese and kid-approved Baked Potato-Chip Chicken Strips. Then, after a little hide and seek in the yard, the kids join Aunty K in the kitchen for Homemade Benne Wafers and Charleston Milkshakes with all the toppings.

Season 2 - March 21, 2020Kardea invites her notoriously frugal Aunt TC over for a dinner that looks like a million bucks but won't break the bank! For their fancy meal at home, Kardea makes Molasses Salmon, Mushroom and Pea Risotto, and Wilted Bok Choy. Dessert is a restaurant classic -- Vanilla Creme Brulee with Raspberry Coulis.
Fishing and Dishing
Season 2 - March 14, 2020Kardea is meeting her brother, Kedrick, at his favourite fishing hole to hopefully catch their dinner. She plans to make Crispy Fried Whitefish with a Cornmeal Crust, Southern Brussels Sprouts Salad with Homemade Creamy Poppy Seed Dressing and Kardea's Fresh Baked Cornbread. For something a little sweet, she whips up a quick and easy Creamy Orange Trifle.
Light Low Country
Season 2 - March 7, 2020Kardea is having two special guests over for dinner -- her mom and grandma! Since her grandma is watching what she eats, Kardea prepares a meal that's deliciously Southern without breaking the calorie counter. She makes Grilled Pork Chops with a homemade Apple and Mango Compote, along with flavorful Cauliflower Rice. For dessert, there are Mini Sweet Potato Pies topped with Toasted Pecans.
