Sure, we all love an ice-cold beer on a hot summer day. But sometimes even the lightest beer can feel a little heavy. And that my friends, is where we introduce you to your new favourite drink, the Shandy. Although it’s been around for a while, the Shandy’s popularity comes in and out like waves. So if you haven’t tried it yet, get ready to be impressed.

Only requiring a few simple ingredients – light beer, ginger ale and lemonade – this perfect summertime bevvy is not too strong, not too sweet, and totally refreshing. Whether you’re having a few friends over, or heading up to a cottage for the weekend, we have the recipe for the perfect Shandy that you can serve to your besties!

(Serves 4)
1 bottle of light or wheat beer
1 cup ginger ale
2 cups lemonade
Sugar and lemon slice for garnish

1. Mix all chilled ingredients together in a large pitcher. Rim glasses with sugar, pour in mixture, and garnish with a lemon slice.
